Weather Report, live at Stadthalle Offenbach, 1978

Recorded live at the "Rockpalast". This is a fusion extravaganza which ends like a real rock concert: in the finish bass legend Jaco Pastorius and drummer Peter Erskine have taken off their shirts, Joe Zawinul unbottened it till his belt. Only Wayne Shorter keeps staying dressed completely :-)

Jaco Pastorius - Bass

Billy Cobham, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter live at Lugano, 1983

From the DVD "World of Rhythm"

Billy Cobham - drums
Herbie Hancock - piano
Ron Carter - double bass

See Herbies fingers on the keyborad of the piano - amazing.

Billy Cobhams outfit is - eh - very 80s style but his drumsolo is great:

Kelomat, live at the Jazzwerkstatt 2005, Vienna

“Kelomat” Jam in the afternoon at the JazzWerkstatt Wien 2005.
Four of the young guns of the Austrian jazz scene. The music is great as are the sunglasses of saxophone player Wolfgang Schiftner.
The video is recorded in a “dogma” style which fits perfectly to the music.
Wolfgang Schiftner(sax)
Bernd Satzinger(bass)
Herbert Pirker(drums)
Special guest: Clemens Salesny(piano).

Yusef Lateef, Belmondo Brothers, live at Bimhuis, 2007

I saw them early 2007 in Vienna at the “Porgy & Bess”. They were great.
Lateef was 86 when this Videos were recorded and he is still the reeds and flutes genius he ever was. The four clips are made by an amateur so the quality is not the best but it is definitely worth to be seen and heard!
